Commissioned by SpudWorks to tell the story of the birth of Hampshire’s Handlebar Cafe for their cafe's frontage.

Measuring at just under 4m in length, this was a big project. Working by hand is an integral part of my practice, so I knew that I had to work out how to upscale my traditional media. I created all of the artwork by hand using gouche and black ink, and collaged the individual assets digitally.

The next phase of the project was to use AI to enlarge the final piece.

An eye-catching illustration that not only up-levels the cafe aesthetic but also tells the story of how it came to be.
